Carakeet

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Carakeet processes information when you use the mobile application, its vehicle sound analysis, diagnostic chat, advertising, and related online services.

Carakeet is provided by an independent developer based in Türkiye ("Carakeet", "we", "us"). Questions and privacy requests can be sent to serkanozcan@gmail.com.

1. Information we process

1.1 Information stored on your device

Vehicle profiles, diagnostic results, chat history, language preference, and most application settings are stored locally on your device. A vehicle profile may include a nickname, make, model, model year, fuel type, mileage, and an optional license plate. Carakeet does not provide a user account or cloud synchronization service.

1.2 Engine sound analysis and diagnostic chat

When you intentionally start an engine sound analysis, Carakeet sends the recording, the selected vehicle profile, language, and related technical context to our backend and to the active third-party artificial intelligence provider. When you use diagnostic chat, your message, recent conversation, vehicle details, and diagnostic context are processed in the same way.

This information is used only to generate the requested analysis or reply, operate the service, investigate failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Raw audio is not intentionally retained in Carakeet's D1 database after the request completes. Operational AI logs may include vehicle details, prompts, generated responses, error details, and usage metadata; the backend keeps at most the latest 100 AI call logs.

1.3 Analytics and technical information

Carakeet uses a randomly generated device identifier to record limited events such as application opens, vehicle additions, and diagnostic actions. Network requests may also expose IP address, request time, device or operating-system information, and error data to our infrastructure providers. We use this information for service operation, security, aggregate analytics, and troubleshooting.

1.4 Advertising and consent information

Carakeet uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded advertisements. Depending on your location and choices, Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, consent signals, ad interactions, and approximate or precise location data. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier is requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt when required.

2. Why we use information

Depending on the applicable law, processing is based on your consent, performance of the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or compliance with legal obligations.

3. Third parties

Information may be processed by the following categories of providers:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Carakeet does not sell personal information. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.

4. Advertising choices

Where required, Carakeet presents Google's European regulations message before requesting ads. You may consent, decline, or manage individual purposes and partners. If privacy options are required in your region, you can reopen them from Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also change tracking permission in iOS Settings. Declining personalized advertising may result in limited or non-personalized ads.

5. Retention and deletion

To request access, correction, objection, restriction, or deletion of backend information, email serkanozcan@gmail.com. Include enough information, such as your Carakeet device identifier and approximate request date, for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify the request.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on consent, contractual safeguards, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted HTTPS transport and restricted administrative access. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Children

Carakeet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK, or applicable US state laws, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Carakeet, providers, or legal requirements. The updated version becomes effective when published here, and the date above will be revised.
